Starting DBT Treatment Program

“Those who decide to start the DBT treatment come to us with determination and hope that they will come out of the dark that has given them pain and suffering. DBT provides the best clinical treatment for people who do not hide or avoid their hurdles but accept these with humility to truly overcome them.”

- Dr. Yong Cho, Ph.D.

We strictly follow the ethical guidelines set forth by the American Psychological Association (APA) to provide clinical treatment and psychological assessment in the manner that puts protection of our clients’ personal information and practice of scientific procedures at utmost importance. The following steps are taken either online or offline for the clients’ thorough and clear understanding of our procedures.
Before proceeding with DBT, the initial diagnostic interview must take place beforehand, followed by preliminary testing and administrative procedures. Through this two-hour interview process, clinicians will be able to make an accurate diagnosis and clinical treatment plan.

Before proceeding with the psychological evaluation, the dates should be reserved, followed by the initial diagnostic interview, preliminary screening questionnaires, and administrative procedures. The evaluation usually lasts 1-2 days, and a feedback session is provided where an initial diagnosis and clinical treatment plan are shared.
