Depression comes without warning. Depression due to the death of a beloved or unemployment, which is called reactive depression, is predictable and temporary; however, it is possible to have depression without clear causes or to have it for an unexpectedly prolonged time.
Depression broadly includes various experiences, symptoms, and emotions. People with depression often avoid enjoyable activities and feel lethargic, as they do not have any motivation to do a certain thing. Sometimes, depression makes it harder for people to engage in daily activities, such as maintaining good personal hygiene, waking up, going to work, or going outside.

MDD Treatment Program at the Tree Group
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
At the beginning stages of cognitive behavior therapy for MDD, the therapist first looks into the causes of MDD with the client, encourages the clients to study theoretical reasons behind MDD, and guides them to face their problems objectively. Additionally, the therapist identifies habits or problems in their surroundings that intensify depressive symptoms and modify the habits or problems in safe and effective manners.
Halfway through the treatment, the therapist goes over the treatment process up until that point to analyze its strength and any areas of improvement. The clients learn various cognitive mechanisms to manage their emotions and maintain their daily lives consistently. Moreover, cognitive behaviour modification process takes place to eliminate any problems that trigger depression and to cope with such situations effectively.
At the final stages of treatment, the therapist closely examines the remaining problems and their causes to focus on ways to resolve them and to establish countermeasures to prevent future recurrence.
