Respect for and Protection of the Intellectual Property Rights of Dialectical Behavior Therapy Publications

The Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) series translated and published by the Tree Group Press—including DBT Skills Training Manual, Second Edition, DBT Skills Training Handouts and Worksheets, Revised Edition, and DBT Skills Manual for Adolescents—is exclusively licensed in Korea pursuant to publishing agreements between the Tree Group Press and Guilford Press. These publications are protected under Korean and international copyright law.

Unauthorized use, reproduction, excerpting, modification, adaptation, or creation of derivative works based on any part of these publications is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, the production of DBT-related videos, online content, books, publications, reports, manuals, handouts, educational materials, or other secondary works derived from the contents of these books.

No part of these publications may be copied, scanned, electronically stored, uploaded, posted online, distributed, shared, converted into PDF or e-book format, or otherwise reproduced or transmitted in any form without prior authorization. Any violation of copyright law may result in civil and criminal liability under applicable law.

Such unauthorized use not only violates copyright law but also undermines the integrity of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based psychological treatment developed through many years of research and clinical application. The terminology and treatment materials used in these publications have been carefully developed, refined, and validated through extensive clinical practice. Likewise, the Korean editions published by the Tree Group Press have been translated, reviewed, and refined through long-term clinical applications in Korea.

These DBT publications were made possible through the dedicated efforts of Marsha M. Linehan, Jill H. Rathus, Alec L. Miller, Jennifer Sayrs, many other DBT experts, the editorial team at The Guilford Press, translator Yong Cho, Ph.D., and the publishing team at The Tree Group Press.

For specific questions regarding copyright law or permissible use, please consult with the appropriate governmental copyright agencies, professional copyright organizations, or attorney specializing in intellectual property law.
